The change, which will be formalised on 30 June, represents a strategic decision by the prominent North Beach-based office, as it explores new opportunities outside of the group.
“Realmark Coastal has been a valued member of the Realmark Group and I’m very proud of what we’ve been able to achieve together over a long period of time,” said managing director John Percudani.
“While we are saddened by their departure from the network, we support their decision and wish them the utmost success in their future endeavors.”
Realmark Coastal principal Sean Hughes first worked with Mr Percudani as a sales associate in 2006, before establishing the Realmark Coastal franchise in 2010.
Since then, the office has been one of WA’s most awarded, including being named Top Medium Office by Value Sold at the 2023 REIWA Awards, and among Australia’s top-10 offices nationwide according to the Real Estate Business Top 50 ranking.
“We wouldn’t have been able to achieve what we’ve done without the support of Anita and John Percudani and I would like to personally thank them for their assistance over many years,” said Mr Hughes.
“We’ve proudly worn the Realmark badge for 18 years, but we feel the time is right for our office to take this exciting step.”
The decision for Realmark Coastal to operate independently is amicable, with both the Realmark Group and Realmark Coastal dedicated to ensuring a smooth transition with minimal impact on clients and ongoing operations.
The Hughes family will announce their next move at an appropriate time close to the conclusion of the franchise agreement at the conclusion of the current financial year.
Realmark remains focused on empowering its network of real estate professionals across Western Australia, providing innovative marketing strategies, cutting-edge technology, and comprehensive programs to enhance their capabilities in serving clients across the state.
The group consists of strata, commercial and residential real estate businesses from Dunsborough to Karratha.
